Azeri Central East (ACE) Jacket and Topside Installation
The ACE project in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea is a significant development in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field. With a total investment of $6 billion, this project involves the construction of a new offshore platform and associated facilities designed to process 100,000 barrels of oil per day. Over the course of its lifetime, the ACE project is expected to produce a substantial 300 million barrels of oil.
Oceanwill, as part of its contract for the ACE project, played a crucial role in the installation of key components – launching of a massive 16,200-tonne jacket and the float-over of an 18,500-tonne topside. Notably, Oceanwill successfully supported the installation contractor for the sail away, transportation, launch and float-over activities, completing these operations safely within a remarkable timeframe.
To ensure the success of the installation, Oceanwill deployed a highly skilled team of welders, platers and riggers, totalling up to 35 personnel. Notably, all welders were prequalified by Oceanwill and, highlighting the company’s commitment to delivering top-quality service and expertise.
